We generally separate our raw material by color…so we offer white, which is howjary, and black, which is not, but is exquisite and smells quite different from the white. We also occasionally have other, special edition oils, such as green, or silver.
In general, the white is a bit pinier, herbal, like butterflies, with a floral twinkle. The black has an orange note, is spicier and more floral. They are both great-neither is “better,” it’s personal taste. The black is not always available though.
Very occasionally we distill some green. But it's difficult to find and very expensive. The traditional Dhofari way of using this "Dthakar" resin is to soak a piece overnight in water and drink the infused water in the morning. It's a traditional Omani stomach remedy.
